MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Master's Degree.

* Non-CTAE certified teachers must complete the WBL endorsement through Northwest GA RESA (coursework and supervised field experience) as well as WBL Part A and Part

B.

EXPERIENCE:

Preferred a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a CTAE discipline. Experience coordinating WBL programs or similar experiential learning initiatives preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:
Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders; proficiency in using data management systems and technology tools relevant to WBL coordination.

GOAL:

This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the school's WBL program. This includes connecting classroom instruction with real-world work experiences, facilitating student placements in internships, apprenticeships, and cooperative education opportunities aligned with their career pathways. The coordinator ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, fostering partnerships between the school, students, parents, and the business community.

REPRESENTATIVE

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Coordinate and manage all components of the Work-Based Learning program in compliance with GaDOE WBL standards, CTAE policies, and district procedures

* Ensure proper implementation of approved WBL models (Internship, Cooperative Education, Youth Apprenticeship, Employability Skills Development, etc.)

* Maintain accurate and complete WBL documentation, student agreements, employer evaluations, hours, safety requirements, and site approvals

* Monitor student placements through regular communication, site visits, and evaluations to ensure quality and compliance

* Ensure adherence to labor laws, safety regulations, and district expectations

* Recruit and enroll eligible students in WBL programs aligned to their CTAE pathways

* Provide workplace readiness instruction, orientation, and employability skills training

* Supervise and support students throughout their WBL experience, addressing concerns and promoting professional growth

* Track student progress, attendance, performance, and completion of required competencies

* Develop, maintain, and expand partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations

* Collaborate with the local Chamber of Commerce to identify workforce needs, recruit employer partners, and promote WBL opportunities

* Conduct employer outreach, training, and evaluations to ensure positive and sustainable partnerships

* Work collaboratively with the CTAE Supervisor to support district CTAE goals, pathway development, and workforce initiatives

* Assist the CTAE Supervisor with data collection, reporting, compliance monitoring, and program improvement related to WBL.

* Assist the CTAE Supervisor with EOPA testing

* Collaborate with CTAE teachers, school counselors, administrators, and district staff to support pathway completion and career readiness

* Support CTSOs, career awareness events, job fairs, industry tours, and related CTAE initiatives

* Collect, analyze, and report WBL data as required by GaDOE, district leadership, and funding sources

* Support audits, reviews, and monitoring visits related to WBL and CTAE programs

* Use data and stakeholder feedback to recommend improvements to strengthen WBL quality and alignment with workforce demands

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WBL regulations and best practices through ongoing professional development.

* Regular travel to student work sites and community partner locations.

* Monitor student progress through regular site visits and evaluations, providing feedback and support as needed.

* Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor or designee.
