This job supports the instructional component of the school’s mission to provide college courses leading to a degree or certificate. The Central Texas College instructor provides quality instruction and is committed to the personal development of each student.
Education and ExperienceMaster’s Degree with a minimum of eighteen graduate level semester hours in the teaching field.
Experience in post-secondary teaching is preferred.

- Meet all regularly scheduled classes on time and for the full class period.
- Demonstrate effective classroom management providing maximum opportunity for student progress.
- Demonstrate organization of materials presented in the classroom.
- Ensure that the general and specific objectives defined in the syllabus are accomplished.
- Utilize varied techniques of instruction.
- Prepare and administer examinations that cover all materials taught and provide prompt feedback on exam results.
- Ensure proper management and utilization of all instructional equipment, resources, and materials.
- Maintain accurate and complete records on each student.
- Participate in orientation meetings, staff development workshops, and faculty meetings relevant to assigned duties.
- Provide feedback to appropriate administrative staff for evaluation and revision of curriculum.
- Ensure Army Education Center policies are followed. Be supportive of college policies and philosophy.
- Represent the institution in a positive manner as indicated by dress, decorum, and attitude.
