The position of Media Specialist is designed for the purpose of providing support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities for maintaining the library collections; using and training teachers to integrate technology in the instructional setting; selecting appropriate items in support of classroom instruction; managing resources for the support of the instructional program; and providing professional development to teachers on new technology.

Credential
:
Valid Georgia Credential or license authorizing service in areas assigned. Must hold or be eligible for Media Specialist certification and meet the Professional Qualifications for the position. Additional certification in Instructional Technology is a plus.

Education
:
Master's Degree required

Experience
:
Minimum of three years of successful classroom experience and/or experience working in a media center environment or in instructional technology required.
