County Wide Substitute Teacher P-12

Application requirements and process are described below. This position is on-call and assigned based on operational needs.

• Adhere to teaching materials and follow lesson plans
• Respond to inquiries and provide feedback to students
• Utilize computer skills to encourage student engagement
• Provide classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment
• Maintain the established school and classroom routines
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Remain at school the entire school day unless otherwise instructed to leave by the principal
• Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Maintain reasonable rules of conduct to encourage self-discipline and responsibility
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in designated locations and times
• Monitor students in the classroom, at lunch, and throughout the school to maintain order and discipline
• Perform duties in accordance with Fannin County School System Board Policies and Requirements
• Relate well to students and inspire the love of learning; demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of substitute training certificate or possession of a valid Georgia teaching certificate or paraprofessional certificate
• Criminal Background Check (minimum requirements for substitute teaching)
• Driver's license and Social Security card

• Applicants considered for a substitute position will receive an email to sign up for an interview and background check appointment
• Fingerprint fee is the responsibility of the applicant (fee may be required)
• Interview scheduling will occur after submission of required documents
