We are hiring substitutes for many roles in Haralson County Schools.

No previous experience is required!

• High School Diploma or equivalent – unless you are applying for a food service position.

• Must be at least 18 for Elementary Schools

• Must be at least 23 for Middle and High Schools

• Substitute Teacher (HS Diploma/Equivalent or Associates): $80/day

• Substitute Teacher (Degree): $90/day

• Substitute Paraprofessional (HS Diploma/Equivalent): $9.40/hour

• Substitute Paraprofessional (Degree): $10.50/hour

• Food Service worker (Tuesday-Fridays): $9.40/hour

• Ability to build a flexible work schedule that works for you

• Ability to select your preferred school locations

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies

• Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation

• For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.

• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher’s aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.

• Assume duties of the district food service worker in accordance with school district policies, school rules, and Kelly policies.

• Cooperate with the School Food Service Manager to provide a positive and inviting dining experience for students and faculty
