A hospital is seeking a neurologist for locum tenens coverage.
About the Facility LocationGet in touch with nature while in North Georgia and visit one of the Georgia State Parks near Helen, which include Smithgall Woods and Unicoi.
About the Clinician s WorkdayThe locum provider will work with EMR:
Cerner. Assignment requires an MD or DO; a tele-physician is not acceptable. The facility has a telestroke program and treats adults only. Board Certification is preferred, especially for Gwinnett, where experience is highly valued. Shifts will be from 8a-5p. The provider can expect to see 12-18 patients per day and handle new consults, inpatient neurology needs, stroke alerts, and rounding.
Two Neurohospitalists typically cover M-F volume, and one covers weekends; there is no APP supervision.
