Dental Hygienist Part Time

Overview

Kedron Village Dental is looking to add a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to our office located in Peachtree City. The ideal candidate is energetic, team oriented and loves working with patients to achieve their smile goals!

Part-time schedule:
Wednesdays and Fridays needed!

• Conduct patient screening procedures, including assessment of oral health conditions, review of patient health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Take digital radiographs
• Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment
• Demonstrate proficient skills in dental prophylaxis and proper use of cavitron/prophy jet
• Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides)
• Make impressions of patients  teeth for study casts
• Promote an atmosphere supportive of good dental and general health by educating patients on oral hygiene techniques, nutritional counseling, and dispensing proper oral hygiene aids
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures
• Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion
• Chart entire dentition and hard and soft tissue evaluation, including existing restorations, decay, perio charting and treatment documentation
• Provide positive, professional leadership and demonstrate positive patient/staff rapport
• Stock all needed supplies and maintain equipment
