We are seeking a Grading Foreman in Vienna, GA, who will lead grading crews and maintain uncompromising safety excellence.
Main Responsibilities- Supervises grading operations safely and productively.
- Interprets plans and sets/checks grade.
- Communicates effectively with crew and stakeholders.
- Implements environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Maintains equipment in good working order and ensures good housekeeping.
- Plans, organizes and coordinates daily work activities.
- Assesses construction equipment and trucking requirements.
- Maintains daily records of project facts, events and conditions.
- Identifies potential problems before breakdowns occur.
- Follows company policies and procedures for safety.
- Instructs and trains employees to ensure safety.
- Accurately tracks and reports daily work hours, equipment usage and of work performed.
- 5+ years of roadway and site construction experience.
- Knowledge of traffic control standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency operating grading equipment (dozers, excavators, motor graders, scrapers, rollers).
- Valid, current driver’s license.
- English fluency (verbal and written).
- Travel in short intervals may be required.
- Minimum one year as Lead on a grading crew.
- Knowledge of GPS grade control systems.
Regularly climb onto and operate heavy machinery, endure vibration and noise, use arms and hands repetitively, lift up to 60 pounds, and maintain necessary visual and hearing standards.
Work EnvironmentWork involves exposure to moving machinery, weather, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and high noise levels.
