Procurement Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services essential to our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimization strategies, with hands-on experience in SAP transactions related to purchasing.

• Execute procurement strategies to acquire goods and services at the best value.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, purchase orders, and contract negotiations.
• Maintain and update supplier records, evaluate vendor performance, and build strong supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure supply chain continuity.
• Utilize SAP to process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoice verifications.
• Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.

• Proficiency in SAP purchasing transactions (e.g., ME21N, ME51N, ME23N, MIGO, MIRO).
• Proficiency in MS Suite.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management.
• Leadership and supervisory skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in industrial procurement or purchasing roles.
• Familiar with electric components.
• 1-3 years of experience at an electrical distributor (Graybar, Rexel etc.).

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
