* Responsible for supervising the pool, enforcing safety rules, and responding to emergencies. Provides customer service, administers first aid/CPR as needed, assists with pool maintenance and cleanliness, completes required documentation, and supports daily operations and programs. Other duties as assigned.
** This is a seasonal position. There are multiple positions available.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
** Perform lifeguard duties: supervise pool, perform appropriate lifesaving actions in emergency situations.
* Administer first aid and/or CPR when appropriate, enforce safety rules and regulations.
* Fill out forms, participate in in-service training, perform safety inspections daily.
* Sets up for programs/rentals.
* Provide customer service and assists patrons with a positive attitude.
* Maintain pool and pool area: check chemical level in pools, clean and vacuum pool, pick up trash, clean decks, clean bathrooms, office areas, and deck furniture as needed.
* Performs other duties as may be assigned.

* MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

** Must be at least 15 years of age at time of hire. Regular punctual attendance is required.
** CERTIFICATION(S)/LICENSES (prior to first Lifeguard shift):
** American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification required.
*** Certification training to be provided by City of Georgetown after passing pre-employment screening.
***** EMPLOYMENT TESTING:
** Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment drug testing, criminal background investigation and driving record check, if applicable.

* Work Schedule:

** Shifts available from 5:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. year-round.
