Experts in store process and efficiency who ensure products are set, in‑stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for all GM areas of the store. They conduct inventory accuracy, merchandise set‑up, maintenance, and pricing for all areas of the store. They also enable efficient delivery to guests by supporting pick, pack, and ship fulfillment work.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with them in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Execute daily tasks assigned by your leader to help achieve goals aligning with business priorities, including receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.
• If certified, operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures.
• Execute processes including changing prices, merchandise set‑up and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed by your leader for all areas.
• Learn how operational procedures, such as setting up and organizing merchandise, managing product stock levels, and maintaining sales floor areas, affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about the resources, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, and digital fulfillment processes (such as picking and packing orders or delivering pickup orders to guests) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You can scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others.
• You have a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and reliable, prompt attendance.
• You can work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to drive‑up, carry‑out, etc.
