The Nurse Manager is a working manager, responsible for day‑to‑day operations of the Main OR and scheduling. He/she maintains the physical plant and works closely with O.R. personnel, anesthesiologists and surgeons.

• Plan, direct and control the staffing assignments in accordance with objectives and policies to ensure effective coverage of the department.
• Plan and direct staff activities.
• Participate in unit activities/operations.
• Create and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Develop a professional climate within the nursing unit/units.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Registered Nurse (RN).
• Associate Degree.
• Minimum of two years specialized nursing experience applicable to the unit.
• Previous supervisory and surgery scheduling experience preferred.
