Licensed Clinician – Jail Based Competency Restoration Program
Location:
Williamson County.
Hourly salary range: $32.41 – $43.66/hr.
Job DescriptionThe Bluebonnet Trails Community Services (BTCS) Jail Based Competency Restoration (OCR) LPHA is one member of a multidisciplinary treatment team offering psychiatric evaluation, medication evaluation and management, cognitive behavior therapy, curriculum-based competency restoration education, motivational interviewing and treatment planning. The Licensed Clinician requires the development and maintenance of effective, professional working relationships with jail and court personnel. A high level of detailed electronic documentation is required and adherence to company and state guidelines is expected.
Responsibilities- Administering clinical screening and assessments, including screening candidates for program admission.
- Facilitating individual and group competency restoration services using approved curriculum.
- Providing individual therapy, when clinically appropriate, and writing participant updates to the courts.
- Collaborating with the JBCR treatment team, jail and court personnel.
- Informing needs assessments, Person-Centered Recovery Plans, and aftercare plans in preparation for jail release and/or transitions back to general population.
- Up to $2.00/hr – Previous experience with a community center in Texas in a similar role.
- Up to $3.50/hr – Previous crisis experience.
- Up to $4.00/hr – Tenure with BTCS.
- $1.00/hr – Ph.D.
- 0.75/hr – Bilingual.
- Must be fully licensed in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist.
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in direct care of persons with a serious mental illness.
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License, meet Bluebonnet Trails Community Services driving requirements, and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.
- Must pass relevant background checks for working inside the jail.
