Assistant Project Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Management team to manage and estimate construction projects, ensuring the successful completion of engineering projects by organizing and controlling various project elements.
Responsibilities
+ Work directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.
+ Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
+ Review drawings for correctness and assemble details necessary to prepare job bid proposals.
+ Develop relationships with sub-contractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids.
+ Support the Project Manager in collecting information for the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.
+ Assist with projecting and adherence to job budget and timing of tasks.
+ Maintain project schedule by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and addressing issues.
+ Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
+ Travel to job site locations to review progress and provide solutions to challenges as needed.
+ Assist in managing project timelines and deadlines.
+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Maintain the project database by updating construction systems.
+ Support the Project Manager in answering customer inquiries.
+ Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Additional
Skills & Qualifications
+ BA/Associates degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
+ Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings.
+ Working knowledge of project budgeting and pricing of materials and labor.
+ 2+ years of experience in the construction field.
+ Experience in managing projects up to $2.5M in scope.
+ 1-4 years of experience in APM or Project Engineer roles.
+
Experience with project management, construction management, RFI, change orders, estimation, and project engineering.
+ Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or 10+ years of related experience and/or training.
Work Environment
The role is based onsite in Austin, Texas. The work environment includes working in a typical office setting with occasional field travel. The position involves working with technologies such as construction, mechanical, MEP, and is related to mission-critical, data center, and commercial projects.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
