Service & Engagement

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
  • Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
  • Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
  • When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store and specific to your area to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
  • Understand and show guests how to use features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features
  • Handle returns following register prompts; partner with Leaders as needed to solve for the guest per Target’s policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
  • Stock supplies during store hours while being available for the guest
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work in a safe manner; comply with safety policies, report hazards and correct where possible
  • Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain compliance with applicable laws
  • All other duties based on business needs
