Position Summary
The Automotive Technician is a foundational role on the automotive service team. You’ll learn key diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills under experienced technicians, participate in routine inspections, help assess vehicles, and assist with repair procedures. You’ll also interact with customers, explaining repair work and providing excellent service, all in a fast‑paced, quality‑focused environment.
Pay Range – $17.00 – $25.50 per hour. Technicians earn flat‑rate, performance‑based compensation that rewards each completed task.
Responsibilities- Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
- Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
- Install batteries and verify electrical systems.
- Conduct tire maintenance and installation.
- Install parts and perform road tests.
- Obtain or maintain ASE certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years; company covers tests and offers bonuses for successful passes.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
- Knowledge of general automotive maintenance and tire repair, including oil changes, inspections, and tire repair.
- Reading, writing, and math proficiency.
- Two years of automotive repair experience, completion of a vocational‑technical program, or equivalent third‑party certificates.
- ASE certification or comparable external qualifications.
