Each Profit Center is the heart of our business, consisting of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and showroom. Warehouse Teammate / Delivery Driver – Georgetown, DEDo you thrive on providing an excellent customer experience? Are you safety and service‑oriented? Do you possess the attention to detail required to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders? If so, we’d like you to join our Warehouse team as a Warehouse Teammate / Delivery Driver.
Warehouse Responsibilities- Count, verify, and receive incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
- Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack customer orders according to company policy.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork.
- Identify non‑stock, special‑order, and damaged material and store in proper locations.
- Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third‑party carrier.
- Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material‑handling equipment safely.
- Inform supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged merchandise that could impact service levels.
- Ensure security and controls to protect assets.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety – remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and debris; inform supervisor of safety issues.
- Assist co‑workers in servicing customers.
- Perform all job functions in accordance with company safety standards.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
- Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Load trucks at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise; secure loads to prevent damage.
- Understand shipping documents and ensure accurate directions to destinations.
- Review documentation and ensure order accuracy.
- Unload correct merchandise, obtain signatures per company policy.
- Collect and secure payments for cash‑sale deliveries.
- Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Load trucks at other locations with merchandise from vendor pickups, returns, or other wholesalers.
- Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered during deliveries.
- Inspect truck and required parts before departure; keep truck clean of debris.
- Advise management of mechanical problems with the truck.
- Complete daily vehicle inspection report for GVWR 10,001 lbs. or more when a defect or deficiency is found.
- Remove keys at end of day; store keys in approved location.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
- Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.
- 1 year of warehouse receiving and material‑handling experience.
- Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.
- Ability to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.; non‑CDL driver must be at least 21, possess a valid driver’s license, meet authorized driver criteria, and pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting and every two years.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Knowledge of driving laws, rules, and regulations governing commercial motor vehicles.
