Overview

The Quality Control Lab Analyst performs a wide variety of laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, chemicals, using different laboratory equipment such as HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, pH, GC, etc.

Schedule:

Rotating shifts (every 2 weeks), 4-10 hour shifts per week. Day shift is 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.;
Night shift is 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

Pay Range: $19 to $25/hour.

Responsibilities
  • Conducts lab testing such as HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, pH, GC, etc.
  • Performs all routine qualitative and quantitative analyses, from simple to very complex.
  • Examines test results critically and enters data into the company ERP computer system.
  • Performs calibrations and standardizations of the Quality Control Laboratory equipment and methods.
  • Complies with standard laboratory procedures to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the laboratory instruments, titrating solutions, reagents, standards.
  • Maintains the housekeeping of the Quality Control Laboratory.
  • Participates in and successfully completes all required laboratory training classes.
  • Understands and complies with all general safety and environmental requirements for the laboratory and additional specific requirements as contained in the standard methods or in special instructions.
  • Reviews literature related to the general techniques used in the Quality Control Laboratory.
  • Learn all of the specific laboratory methods and standard operating procedures outlined by the QC Lab Quality Control Manual.
Qualifications
  • Experience with laboratory testing equipment and methods listed above (HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, pH, GC, etc.).
  • Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses and to enter data into an ERP system.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain safety and environmental requirements in the laboratory.
  • Willingness to participate in and complete required laboratory training.
