A Brief OverviewThe Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care based on standards of care and professional nursing practice: accountable for the outcomes of nursing care delivered.
What you will do- Assesses, utilizing age specific data, the patient’s physical, psychosocial, and spiritual status in a comprehensive manner.
- Performs initial and ongoing assessment including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention. Completes required documentation within organizational standards.
- Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) – Preferred
- Previous experience in an acute care critical care setting – Preferred
- Works with patients, families, physicians, and other health care providers.
- Registered Nurse – South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation in good standing with South Carolina Board of Nursing – Required
- Basic Life Support Certified – American Heart Association – Required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified – American Heart Association – Preferred
