* ** Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Acute Care/Float*
* ** A Brief Overview
** Responsible for providing a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualification, professional practices and ethical standards. The incumbent shall also demonstrate accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. The employee may have job functions where they will handle and deliver medications based on the requirements of their job in the assigned work facility.

The employee will complete other duties as assigned.

** What you will do
*** Perform documentation by clinical / department guidelines and meet expectations of monthly department chart audits
* Consistently documents objective and functional measures to justify patient plan of cares
* Promote / educate Next Step Rehabilitation programs to referring physicians and healthcare providers
* Therapist will proactively impact his or her cancel / no show percentage as it relates to improving quality care and patient outcomes  
** Education Qualifications
*** Associate's Degree from an accredited therapy program and performed the required clinical internships satisfactorily Required  
*
* Skills and Abilities

*** Ability to utilize therapy equipment an outpatient rehabilitation setting to provide treatment and procedures  
** Licenses and Certifications
*** Physical Therapist Assistant - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Required
* Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Required
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred  
** Physical Demand
