Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and Data Lab Technician Job Summary

Our client in Georgetown, KY is looking for a Lab Technician. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do Paint Lab Technician / Paint Seibi (Paint Lab) Technician. Responsibilities & Duties
  • Conduct tests and evaluations of new paint equipment and materials.
  • Perform paint testing, including taking color readings and other measurements.
  • Operate and maintain robotic application equipment, as the lab lacks a dedicated maintenance function.
  • Support model projects and ensure new equipment is functional.
  • Plan testing conditions and interact with Kawasaki robots.
Technical Skills
  • Robotic programming and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Toyopuc systems.
  • 3D programming experience is a plus and will be needed for future projects.
  • Reviewing test matrices with project leads.
  • Adjusting paint properties to achieve quality targets.
  • Supporting maintenance and cleaning of paint equipment.
  • Mixing and preparing paint for testing.
  • Spraying test panels and parts per testing matrices.
  • Checking paint equipment for proper operation.
  • Programming paint robots.
  • Running trials and adjusting parameters.
  • Using paint measurement instruments.
Basics
  • Open to recent college graduates with relevant paint and/or robotic programming experience.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
  • Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
  • Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects.
  • Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2 years technical degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Programming will be a huge plus for this role. Familiarity with AB & Toyopuc.
Preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Paint experience.
  • Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications.
  • Experience with paint manufacturing, formulation, or testing.
  • Additional related certifications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
