Job Description:
- Responsible for developing innovative projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Lead and manage projects including writing detailed scopes of work, creating schedules, managing vendors and contractors, and providing regular status updates.
- Utilize computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software to support engineering initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret engineering drawings to support equipment installation and process improvements.
- Install and commission manufacturing equipment.
- Support PLC-related projects including program writing, teaching, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Deploy and troubleshoot machine vision systems.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required and support overtime needs based on project demands.
- Proven experience developing innovative projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven project management experience including scope development, scheduling, vendor management, and reporting.
- Experience using CAD/CAM engineering software.
- Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience installing manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience with PLC projects including programming and safety standards.
- Experience deploying machine vision systems.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing technology and automation projects.
- Experience integrating automation and control systems.
- Experience working with vendors and contractors on capital projects.
- Lead and execute manufacturing technology projects.
- Develop scopes of work and manage project schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful project execution.
- Install, integrate, and validate manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
- Master s or PhD degree in Controls, Robotics, or Mechatronics.
- Experience with Job Safety Analysis or Job Hazard Analysis.
- Experience in construction management.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing plant.
- Project Management certification.
- Experience securing project funding approvals.
- Familiarity with SAE, ISO, NFPA, NEC, and UL standards.
- Experience conducting equipment risk assessments.
- Experience troubleshooting and deploying vision systems.
- Experience integrating automation and control platforms and industrial robotics systems.
- Strong project management skills.
- Technical expertise in automation, controls, and robotics.
- Ability to interpret engineering documentation.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Advanced degree in Controls, Robotics, or Mechatronics preferred.
