Senior Mechanical Engineer

A Senior Mechanical Engineer for the PLE Advanced Planning & Innovation team will support innovative planning and analysis by:

• Offering technical support for early project planning, focusing on industrial building mechanical system design and pre-construction analysis.
• Conducting studies on innovative technical design and implementation procedures, including cost and schedule impacts.
• Researching and benchmarking industry trends to enhance building design and installation
  , supporting quality, cost, schedule, and safety goals.
• Developing and supporting project justifications, business cases, and management presentations.
• Providing technical expertise throughout the planning, design, and construction phases, including cross-department collaboration.

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) or 5+ years in hands-on building mechanical system experience
• 5+ years of experience in building design, construction, and/or operation/maintenance
• 5+ years of experience in industrial building mechanical systems (HVAC, process piping, chilled water, compressed air, etc.)
• 3+ years Reporting & presentation skills
  , including Intermediate level experience of computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook)

• Professional Engineering (PE) License
• Experience in industrial control or automation systems (i.e. Energy/Building Management Systems, fire alarm systems, SCADA, etc.)
• Experience in industrial building chemical systems (waste water, tank farms, etc.)
• Experience in cross-departmental collaboration
• Experience with Power BI, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD
• Industry related Certifications in ASHRAE, CEM, LEED AP, PMP
