Standards Engineer

Position Overview

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Standards Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and implementation of facility and construction standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring engineering standards align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and operational needs across multiple disciplines.

$45.00/hr - $48.00/hr

• Develop, review, and update facility and construction standards and specifications related to mechanical, electrical, civil, and architectural systems
• Collaborate with design, planning, manufacturing, and project teams to complete standards and specifications
• Monitor industry trends, global manufacturing trends, and current/past building issues; update standards as needed
• Manage multiple standards concurrently to ensure timely completion
• Provide guidance and interpretation of standards to internal engineering and project teams
• Document, track, and maintain records related to standards and specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field)
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
• Proven experience in standards development, engineering implementation, or quality assurance (5+ years preferred)
• Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASTM, ASHRAE, IBC, NFPA, and related regulations
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other PDF editing software
