Facilities Engineer

Pay Rate: $42–$45/hour

Overtime:
Up to 10%

Client is seeking a Standards Engineer to plan, develop, and maintain North American Facility Standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance across facility and construction standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

• Develop, review, and update facility and construction standards and specifications related to mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
• Collaborate with design, planning, manufacturing, and project teams to complete standards and specifications.
• Monitor industry codes, standards, and best practices, as well as global Toyota trends and historical building issues.
• Manage multiple standards concurrently to ensure timely completion.
• Provide guidance and clarification on standards to internal teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to standards and specifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
• 5–10 years of engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience in standards development, engineering implementation, or quality assurance.
• Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards, including ASTM, ASHRAE, IBC, NFPA.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or other PDF editing tools.

• Experience developing construction standards and specifications.
• Familiarity with standards management software or tools.
