Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and operational finance activities of the organization. This role is ideal for candidates with public accounting experience (audit or advisory) who are looking to apply their technical foundation in a dynamic, hands-on industry environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Partner with operations and finance leadership to analyze operational results and identify process improvements
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with GAAP
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis related to operational performance
Support internal and external audit requests, leveraging public accounting experience to ensure accuracy and documentation
Help develop, document, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights for leadership
Participate in special projects, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred)
2–5+ years of public accounting experience (audit or assurance strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Experience working with complex reconciliations and multiple entities a plus
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Net Suite, Oracle, SAP, etc.) preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, business-partner mindset
