School Nurse
Location: Georgetown, Delaware
Job type: Part‑time (Wednesday through Friday, approximately 22 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily nursing care to students, including first aid and illness/injury assessment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and district policies
- Monitor and manage student health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)
- Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
- Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and administrators regarding student health needs
- Support health screenings, immunization compliance, and care plans
- Respond to health emergencies as needed during school hours
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment
- Active Delaware RN License
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with school staff
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Consistent part‑time schedule
