This position involves safe equipment operation, vegetable planting/harvesting, field maintenance, greenhouse operations, Point of Sales, and assisting staff and students. Responsibilities also include maintaining greenhouse equipment/farm equipment, applying Good Agriculture Practices (GAP) and Good Handling Practices (GHP), cleaning and maintaining buildings, sheds, equipment, and facilities to ensure health standards and high-quality vegetable production and storage.
Summary StatementAn incumbent is responsible for facilitating the smooth functioning of one or more laboratories taught in the College and/or an academic center. The incumbent will assist instructors and/or other professional personnel in teaching the students for laboratories and/or will provide assistance in organizing tutoring and/or testing services in an academic center.
Principal Accountabilities – Laboratories- Set up laboratories and prepare necessary materials (chemical solutions, computers, etc.).
- Assist instructors during laboratory sessions by monitoring, scoring and evaluating tests, and administering make‑up tests.
- Provide special tutoring to students where needed.
- Deliver administrative materials to instructors (course outlines, attendance policies, lab schedules).
- Perform special projects as assigned (registering students, assisting with computer programs, repairing equipment).
- Repair electronic equipment at campus.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Set up the academic center, including ordering/preparing materials and ensuring appropriate software.
- Coordinate schedules of faculty and tutors.
- Schedule students for tutoring/testing appointments and ensure coverage.
- Assist students and inform them of procedures.
- Handle inquiries and schedule operating hours.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of records.
- Create fliers or brochures for promotion.
- Provide tutoring assistance as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Knowledge of teaching methods and techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant subject matter in the discipline.
- Knowledge of related equipment and skill in use.
- Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Associate degree in a relevant field and two (2) years of relevant experience; or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
