Overview
Summary: Sales Consultant:
Junior Sales Manager. Our client in the essential service company operating under the OHS environment is looking for a dynamic, self-driven and self-motivated candidate to join their team. Candidates with knowledge in Risk Management, Fire Equipment, Detection and Sprinkler Systems, First Aid and associated Training Services.
- Drive new business development through cold calling, lead generation, site visits and networking within the fire protection and compliance sector
- Manage and grow an assigned client portfolio
, ensuring repeat business and long-term customer relationships - Conduct client needs analyses and recommend appropriate fire protection solutions in line with SANS and industry regulations
- Prepare and present quotations, proposals and tenders
, ensuring accuracy, pricing compliance and profitability - Negotiate pricing and service terms within approved parameters to successfully close sales
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by senior management
- Assist in managing and mentoring junior sales staff
, providing guidance on sales techniques and product knowledge - Coordinate closely with technical, installation and service teams to ensure smooth execution of sold projects
- Monitor project progress post-sale and ensure customer satisfaction from order to installation and after-sales support
- Maintain accurate CRM records
, sales reports, forecasts and pipeline tracking - Identify market trends, competitor activity and new opportunities within the fire safety industry
- Ensure all sales activities align with health, safety and compliance standards applicable to fire protection services
- Support senior management with sales planning, strategy execution and performance reporting
Qualifications:
- Matric
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Computer literate
- Own Reliable Transport
- 1-year minimum business to business sales environments
- Computer literate - MS Office suite, Pastel
- OHS knowledge - hugely advantageous
- MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL
- B2B Sales experience
- Customer relationship building
- Cold Canvassing and Lead Generation
- Problem solving and analytical ability

- Must have strong undertstanding of financials and profit margins
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
