Nursery Research Technician
Our client in the Agriculture Industry is seeking a Nursery Research Technician to join their team.
Job Type: Permanenet
Job Location: George
Duties and Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operations in the trial sites, including meeting daily targets based on irrigation, maintenance, husbandry, IPM, and general housekeeping of the trial sites
- Grow quality plants in the trial sites for data analyses
- Collect and analyze data on plant growth, pest resistance, and yield performance
- Prepare detailed reports on research findings, including statistical analysis and visual presentations
- Assist in the propagation, planting, and maintenance of berry crops in the greenhouses, nursery and clean stock facility
- Assist with the inventory management of nursery supplies and equipment
- Attend weekly production meetings and provide feedback when required
- Monitor and report on R&D trails within the nursery to identify areas for improvement
