Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: George Regional Health & Rehab
Department: Nursing
Schedule: Full-Time (Shift availability as applicable)
Reports To: Director of Nursing / Charge Nurse

Position Summary

George Regional Health & Rehab is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. CNAs play a vital role in providing direct, hands‑on care to residents while promoting dignity, comfort, and quality of life in a long‑term care setting.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day while working in a supportive, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding)
  • Provide mobility assistance and reposition residents as needed
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to licensed nursing staff
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines
  • Provide compassionate care while maintaining resident dignity and privacy
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
    • Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Mississippi
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Ability to pass required background screening
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident‑focused
  • Ability to stand, lift, and assist residents as needed
