Our client in the electrical contracting sector is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for full cost management, contract administration, procurement coordination, and financial reporting across electrical construction projects.

Description:

Prepare detailed cost estimates based on electrical drawings and specifications
Monitor project budgets and control expenditure
Perform financial forecasting and cash flow projections
Conduct cost reconciliations and financial modelling
Administer and manage contracts in accordance with agreed terms
Prepare and submit payment claims and variation orders
Evaluate subcontractor claims
Serve as the main contact for financial and contract matters
Maintain strong client relationships
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and compliance
Verify work aligns with contractual and technical standards

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Professional membership with ASAQS preferred.
3–5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and project management within electrical contracting.
Proficiency in CostX, Build Smart, CCS Candy, Excel, or similar software.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, construction regulations, and contract law (JBCC, NEC, GCC, FIDIC).
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
