The Fondation Campus Biotech Geneva (FCBG) is a non‑profit organization created by EPFL, UNIGE, and the Canton of Geneva. Its main mission is to manage the research infrastructure and shared technology platforms of the Campus Biotech, supporting academic research groups (UNIGE, EPFL, HUG), the Wyss Center for Bio and Neuro Engineering, and start‑ups on the site. FCBG acts as a catalyst for translational research, facilitating the transition from basic science to concrete solutions for human health.

Three essential service platforms: M/EEG & Neuromodulation, Clinical and Sleep Research, and Virtual Reality & Digital Engineering.

We are recruiting a single versatile engineer to cover two projects.

• Work with engineers and PhDs on EEG, MEG, and neuromodulation research
• Act as a key technical consultant for research groups, assisting in hardware selection and experimental protocol implementation
• Design and optimise data processing pipelines for complex neural datasets
• Manage 3–4 distinct projects per year, ranging from short‑term interventions to multi‑year research programs

• Lead a new service with two recording rooms fitted with synchronized cameras for movement studies
• Take ownership of an internally developed C++ acquisition and synchronization software
• Document, debug, and improve the existing codebase for robustness and reliability
• Design and implement pipelines to analyse human behaviour via body movements and facial expressions, collaborating with researchers
• Integrate existing tools (LISBET, Deep Lab Cut ) to bridge raw data and scientific insight
• Organise community events, technical demonstrations, and hackathons to promote the service

• Education & Experience: MSc or PhD in Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field; proven experience in software development and programming experimental paradigms

  Expertise in Python, strong command of MNE‑python, proven EEG data analysis and signal processing experience

  Advanced proficiency in C++, system debugging and optimisation; fundamental knowledge of LLMs and AI models for video analysis (pose estimation, facial recognition) required
• Languages: English B1+ (mandatory);
  French B1+ (advantage)
• Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a professional service‑oriented attitude
• Optional: Experience in a neuroscience laboratory; familiarity with MRI data analysis; familiarity with Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) library

• Contract type: Renewable fixed‑term contract
• Workload: 40% – 100%
