Redstone Commodity Search has been exclusively engaged by a rapidly expanding physical commodities trading group to support the growth of their dry freight products trading desk. This includes multiple key hires within their developing global steel trading division.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks
  • Lead negotiations, structuring, and execution of trades across a variety of steel products:
    Flat Products
    : HRC, CRC, GI, PPGI, HRP.
    Long Products
    :
    Rebar, wire rod, structural sections.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with steel mills, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and end-users across Europe (Germany, Spain, Portugal, Poland etc)
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand the company's market reach and customer base.
  • Manage steel trade flows, ensuring efficient supply chains from production centers to end markets.
  • Stay ahead of market trends by analyzing global economic indicators, geopolitical events, industry developments, and technological advancements impacting the steel sector.
Key Qualifications / Experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years in steel trading, with a demonstrable track record of executing successful trades, driving market expansion, and managing client relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of steel products (flat, long, semi-finished) as well as their respective market dynamics.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of global steel trade flows, logistics, and supply chain strategies.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to meet suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Role is Geneva based
