ProfileAre you a senior Risk & Compliance professional from Swiss private banking with cross-functional or transformation experience? This could be an amazing new challenge, as well as a broad and fulfilling position. In this Chief-of-Staff-type role, you will play a pivotal part in the Risk Department, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer and driving operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and transformation projects.
PrimaryResponsibilities - Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Support the Chief Risk Officer in strategic planning and departmental governance.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors, regulators, and business teams.
- Conduct ad hoc risk analyses to support business decisions.
- Supervise reporting, KPIs, and internal controls, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
- Contribute to departmental improvement initiatives: processes, organization, and tools.
- Support adoption of digital tools, automation, or AI in a pragmatic, secure, and compliant way.
- Act as a liaison with IT and business users for departmental systems and applications.
- University degree in finance, economics, law, management, or related field; postgraduate qualification in Risk/Compliance/Governance desirable.
- Around 8-10+ years of senior Risk & Compliance experience in Swiss private banking, with exposure to cross-functional initiatives, transformation projects, or strategic business partnering.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, audits, and risk reporting - FINMA regulations.
- Leadership skills with ability to partner with senior management and business teams.
- Experience in process review, operational controls, and KPI reporting.
- Comfortable in complex, regulated, and evolving environments.
- Mother-tongue or bilingual French, fluent English.
- Swiss residents with valid work permits only.
- Exposure to IT applications, digital tools, or data management in Risk & Compliance.
- Experience in transformation projects, process automation, or AI integration.
- PMO, business analyst, or continuous improvement certifications (PMP, CAPM, Lean).
