The roleAs a Contract Specialist based in our office in Geneva you will work as part of a team reporting to our Physical Operations Contracts and Settlements Manager. Working within a physical commodity trading environment, your main areas of focus will be:
Key responsibilities- Performing internal systems validations and checks
- Issuing sales contracts across multiple commodities
- Managing subsequent documentation & amendments in a timely and qualitative manner
- Assessing and responding in a timely manner to counter party contracts across multiple commodities
- Liaising with different departments within the organisation to support the contract handling. Productively interacting with third parties in order to collect all relevant information and produce consistent documentation and/or comments
- Minimum 2 years commodity trading contract handling experience, preferably within a dedicated contract department.
- Ability to review long form contracts, analyse clauses and understand the relative merits and risks associated with commercial and legal provisions.
- Strong understanding of physical trading operations: e.g. delivery methods, quality & quantity determination, laytime & demurrage etc
- Experience with metals and concentrates contracts a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Able to work within an organised framework and designated deadlines
- Process driven and focused
- High level of written and spoken English
- Well organised with the ability to manage their own time and respond to tight deadlines. Diligent and thorough in executing processes.
