Head of Finance

For a leading international company operating across the Technology and Financial Services sectors, we are seeking a Head of Accounting to join their team in the Geneva area. This is a full‑time, permanent position (100%).

Within a team of 5, you will play a key role in ensuring robust accounting operations and high‑quality reporting:

• Prepare and oversee the timely and accurate preparation of financial information in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closings, including management accounts and group reporting packages.
• Maintain and apply accounting policies and procedures compliant with US GAAP, local GAAP, and internal control requirements (SOX).
• Strengthen and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and reduce financial risks.
• Coordinate and support external audits by providing accurate information and resolving audit findings promptly.
• Drive continuous improvement across accounting operations, focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and process optimization.

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Chartered Accountant qualification.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including solid exposure to US GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in consolidation/ Treasury / Tax processes.
• Robust understanding of internal controls, compliance frameworks, and SOX-related processes.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems.
• Pragmatic, results‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional fluency in English and French.
