Finger Lakes Federal Credit Union is seeking a Full Time Member Service Specialist/Teller-Float.

The Member Service Specialist/Teller-Float position handles many front line duties in the course of a day switching tasks as the need arises. Develops and demonstrates a broad knowledge of Credit Union products and services as well as policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Performs a wide range of transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with a high level of accuracy.

Provides a variety of information, transactions, new account processing, IRA processing, cash handling, vault management, and basic loan guidance delivered with excellent service. Maintains extensive knowledge of retail service, payment transactions and cash handling. Additionally, maintains comprehensive knowledge of new accounts processes including IRA accounts. Well versed in all front line operational procedures, Credit Union products and services and sales processes.

Achieves individual and branch sales goals through new deposit and referral of loan business, and retention of account relationships. This position will typically be assigned to the Geneva location but may be relocated on a day to day basis as needed between our Geneva and Phelps branches to ensure consistent staffing levels. This position is Monday-Friday with a rotating Saturday schedule that will cover two Saturday's per month in our Geneva branch.

Qualified Candidates will have;

• High school degree.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience working within a financial institution.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Applicant must have excellent organizational skills, be able to communicate effectively with members, employees, and management.
• Office skills, cash handling, and high level of accuracy with an aptitude for detail.
• Ability to adapt to multiple job functions and changing priorities.
• Experience with computers, Windows operating system, Microsoft Office products and other office equipment such as a calculator, fax machine, copier etc.
• Must be professional in appearance and have strong public relation and team building skills.
• Proven ability to support and promote a sales and service culture.
