Senior Microsoft System Engineer

A highly renowned international law firm has mandated me to search for an experienced Senior Microsoft System Engineer to strengthen its internal IT team in Geneva. In this role, you will be responsible for the stability, security and continuous development of a complex, business-critical IT infrastructure within a demanding professional services environment.

• You take ownership of the firm’s Microsoft-based on-premise and cloud infrastructure
• You administer and further develop Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
• You manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V) and ensure high availability
• You are responsible for backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
• You act as a senior escalation point (3rd level support) for complex incidents
• You design, lead and implement infrastructure projects and technology migrations
• You ensure proper documentation, security standards and operational procedures
• You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external technology partners

• Several years of experience as a Senior System Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer
• Solid experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V) and networking
• Good knowledge of security, authentication and identity services (e.g. ADFS, SSO, DNS, VPN)
• Experience with automation and scripting (Power Shell; additional scripting is a plus)
• Structured, reliable and solution‑oriented working style
• Fluent French is essential for this role; very good English skills are also required
• Experience in professional services, legal, financial or similarly demanding environments is a strong advantage
