Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in monitoring information in OCT to ensure compliance and accuracy of data in accordance with the signed agreements.
- Assist in drafting various documentation and SOPs related to OCT system (user guidance, system diagram and others).
- Assist in gathering user requirements to enhance OCT reporting on OCHA funding.
- Assist in drafting various documentation and SOPs aimed at enhancing and streamlining the grants management cycle and other related processes.
- Support the grant management unit in processing grants, reviewing grant proposals and following up on pledges.
- Assist in drafting and handling official correspondence for/from donors.
- Assist in drafting grants proposals in close collaboration and coordination with relevant field and HQ colleagues.
- Research and present information on specific topics.
- To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
- be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent – good knowledge of standard MS software applications is required)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Capacity to review large volumes of information in Excel format is desirable.
- Have a demonstrated ability to interact successfully with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, showing tolerance of differing opinions and views.
- Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
- A field of study closely related to the type of internship applied for is required.
- Your training, education, advanced work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship.
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of any of the official languages of the United Nations is desirable.
