Registered Nurse – OR/Endoscopy Location

Geneva, NY

This is a 16-week contract position.

Full-time weekdays, 4x9s from 0630/0730 to 1530/1630 with weekend and holiday on-call rotation.

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient needs, develops a care plan in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The RN develops specialized skills in caring for patients with medical conditions and provides education to support health and healing beyond hospitalization.

• Apply nursing knowledge and skill in the delivery of care.
• Assess patient/family needs through active listening and data analysis.
• Create individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Promote, advocate for, and protect the health, safety, and rights of patients.
• Provide education and motivational support to patients and families.
• Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Develop caring relationships with patients and families to enhance care quality.
• Administer medications and perform interventions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention strategies.

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification
• Valid NYS RN Licensure
