Registered Nurse Float Pool

Experience:

Minimum 1 year in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care Units

License:
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse.

Certifications:

BLS required.
ACLS required.
PALS required.
NIHSS required.
Basic Coronary Care certification required within 6 months of hire.
CPI certification required within 90 days of hire.

Must-Have:
Must be comfortable floating to various units including ICU, ER, Med/Surg.
Must have BSN degree.
Must have critical care experience.

Description:

Registered Nurse position involves working day shifts.
EOW and holiday rotations are required, along with two on-call shifts per four weeks.
Must be cross-trained for multiple units including Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, and Emergency Room.
The role requires a demonstrated ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
Candidates should possess the ability to engage professionally with patients and staff.
Meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities is essential.
The position seeks to enhance teamwork through effective role modeling.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are necessary.
Computer literacy is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records is advantageous.
The individual must demonstrate knowledge necessary to provide age-appropriate care.
Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan is required.
The ability to assess data reflective of patient status is essential.
Interpretation of information needed to identify each patient's age-specific requirements is necessary.
Care must be tailored to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups.
