Our services are designed to enhance the lives of our residents in a meaningful way, and we are seeking dedicated Staff Nurses with a LPN to join our team in Geneva as part of our life-changing mission.
We have flexible full-time and part-time shifts available with an hourly rate of $28.25/hr - $34/hr based on qualifications and experience. The position includes differentials of $1 for PM weekdays, $2 for night weekdays, $5 for AM weekends, $6 for PM weekends and $7 for night weekends. The PRN/IHR (On-Call) LPN rate is $29/hr with an additional $2 differential for weekends.

Marklund is a nonprofit organization providing residential, educational and therapy services to individuals with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs across two locations: the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, including those diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
Our Community Day Services program supports adults who reside at Marklund and those who come from the community.
- Administer medications, tube feedings and treatments as prescribed.
- Prepare quarterly health assessments and annual assessments.
- Inform the physician of changes in resident health status and implement physician orders to assure optimal health care.
- Complete daily charting for care provided.
- Act as a liaison between residents, parents, physicians, consultants and case managers regarding resident status.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), current on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry
- Possess current BLS CPR certification for Healthcare Workers
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements
