Machine Operator I (1st, 2nd, 3rd Shift)

Job SummaryThe Machine Operator performs set‑ups, makes minor adjustments, operates packaging equipment, and ensures product quality meets customer requirements. They perform wash and equipment change‑over, and maintain GMP compliance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Perform accurate set‑ups on equipment for product runs.
- Operate and adjust equipment to meet specifications.
- Inspect and test packages, document results.
- Stage and check required materials for quick change‑overs.
- Complete and assemble all required documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of GMPs and HACCP or willingness to learn.
- Math skills to calculate material quantities.
- Organizational and communication skills for prioritizing work and communicating changes.
- Ability to handle small tools.
- Ability to understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
- Proficiency reading and writing in English (preferred).
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- May be warm or refrigerated depending on location.
- Team-based work requiring respectful communication.
- Stand up to 80% of scheduled time.
- Lift 40 lbs unassisted; 40–75 lbs assisted.
- Work overtime as needed across shifts.

Starting Pay:
Machine Operator Level I $20.30/hr, Machine Operator Level II $22.25/hr shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Base pay varies by location, experience, skills, and training. Discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
