JOB SUMMARY
:
The Kane County Cougars, a proud member of the American Association of Professional Baseball, are seeking a Seasonal Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Seasonal Accounting Clerk will provide essential, temporary accounting support during the preseason through playoffs as well as special events

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Responsible for generating, reviewing and finalizing premium hospitality invoices.
• Collaborate with staff to incorporate all new game day purchases into the invoice.
• Verifies the accuracy of all billing information, correcting any discrepancies.
• Handles all game day billing additions.
• Responsible for processing end-of-night payments.
• Maintaining detailed records of game day invoices.
• Accurately input financial transactions into accounting software.
• Maintain financial spreadsheets and assist with month end close procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred or previous experience in bookkeeping.
• Interest in sports management and hospitality is a plus.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems as they arise.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must thrive in a fast paced, non-traditional environment including high traffic and high noise areas.
• Strong basic math skills
• Strong proficiency in spreadsheet programs including Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
