Position: UAT Lead / QA Executive Advisor

Eligible for Secret clearance (eligibility criteria: minimum 10+ years residing in Canada). Experienced QA Executive Advisor with over 10 years in quality assurance and testing leadership across digital transformation and complex system implementation projects. Proven expertise in managing end-to-end testing life cycles, planning with different functional teams, and ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms with zero business disruption. Demonstrated experience with mission‑critical, high‑availability or regulated environments.

The QA Executive Advisor will lead the test strategy and execution for a large‑scale, mission‑critical banking system replacement at the client. This system will fully replace a legacy high‑availability platform, and must meet rigorous standards for accuracy, availability, performance, and resiliency.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Working with the Test Lead and Test team, the QA Executive Advisor will be responsible for end‑to‑end quality oversight, including integration with 11 internal and external systems, cross‑functional coordination with technical and business teams, and test engagement across IT, operations and partnering teams.

Objectives:

  • Define and execute comprehensive testing strategy, working with test lead, test team, and stakeholder groups.
  • Ensure full test coverage of key processes and integrations.
  • Validate successful data migration.
  • Enable a seamless go‑live with minimal defects.

Scope of Work:

  • Test Planning & Strategy:
    Develop strategy, test plans, and define quality gates.
  • Test Design & Execution:
    Oversee test case creation and supervise system testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, cutover testing.
  • Environment & Data Management:
    Define and coordinate test environments and test data generation and maintenance.
  • Partner with business to design and execute a fit‑for‑purpose UAT approach, covering all business‑critical workflows.
  • Defect Management:
    Lead triage, reporting, and defect resolution.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    Act as single point of contact for all test activities and test‑related escalations.
  • Reporting & Sign‑Off:
    Provide regular updates, metrics, and go‑live readiness assessment.

Key Deliverables:

  • Test Strategy & Master Test Plan.
  • Performance and Stress Test Strategy.
  • BCP, Failover and Contingency Test Strategy in alignment with Enterprise Risk standards.
  • Test Plans.
  • Regular Test Reports.
  • Implemented Test Methodology.
  • Defect reports and test summaries, presentations to leadership and partner stakeholder groups, go‑live sign‑off.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10 years in quality assurance and testing leadership across digital transformation and complex system implementation projects.

• Proven expertise in managing end‑to‑end testing life cycles, planning with different functional teams, and ensuring smooth transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms with zero business disruption.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000–$165,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
