Job Description
The Project Engineer contributes to the planning, design, and development of sites for various development projects. They ensure technical coordination and carry out the required studies to propose efficient, sustainable, and compliant solutions that meet current standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform site design, including grading, drainage, access, utility networks, exterior layouts, and site layouts.
- Prepare plans, profiles, technical specifications, stormwater management designs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose engineering solutions tailored to client needs.
- Coordinate technical aspects with internal teams (drafting, technicians, other disciplines) as well as with clients, partners, and municipal authorities.
- Ensure technical follow-up on projects, including site visits and support during construction.
- Participate in project management activities: planning, deliverable tracking, and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Five (5) years of experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Previous project management experience is an asset; however, mentoring is available for the right candidate
- University degree in civil engineering or equivalent
- Engineering license in Ontario (P. Eng.) and/or Quebec (Ing.)
- Bilingual (English/French – spoken and written): bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our diverse stakeholders
- Valid driver’s licence
