Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule surgical appointments for patients in a timely manner.
• Assist surgeons and medical staff in preparing for surgical procedures by gathering necessary information.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their surgical procedures, scheduling details, and pre-operative instructions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and surgical outcomes.
• Monitor and follow up on patient admissions and discharges related to surgical procedures.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery plans.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience
• Experience in ambulatory specialty clinics or perioperative services
• Strong knowledge of surgical scheduling workflows and insurance authorization processes
