Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical appointments for patients in a timely manner.
- Assist surgeons and medical staff in preparing for surgical procedures by gathering necessary information.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their surgical procedures, scheduling details, and pre-operative instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and surgical outcomes.
- Monitor and follow up on patient admissions and discharges related to surgical procedures.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery plans.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience
- Experience in ambulatory specialty clinics or perioperative services
- Strong knowledge of surgical scheduling workflows and insurance authorization processes
