Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their functional capabilities and develop tailored therapy plans.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to help patients regain skills necessary for daily living and work activities.
  • Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process and strategies for ongoing improvement at home.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
  • Utilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to enhance patient function and independence.
  • Attend team meetings and contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council of Medical Educate of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
