Warehouse Operative

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE WITH COUNTERBALANCE FLT EXPERIENCE

Pay Rate: £25,670 (23,809 basic + £1780 shift allowance) - Also potential to earn annual bonus of £1300.
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Day shift - 8 hours per day between the hours of 0600 hours - 1800 (Monday to Friday)

This role has an out of hours on‑call rota – one week in every four. An extra payment of £150 is paid for each week on call, plus additional payments if called out to site.

DHL, an award‑winning leading supply chain business, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

• Undertake the manual handling, distribution and monitoring of materials in a bulk storage and warehouse environment.
• Be responsible for picking and packing specified items from storage and prepare them for shipment.
• Stock Counts (Perpetual Inventory – PI).
• General Housekeeping and occasional overtime to cover absence & holidays.

• Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment or similar role and be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures.
• Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck experience is ESSENTIAL for this role.
• Previous experience of the preparation and distribution of volume orders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
• Reach truck experience preferred but not essential.
• Manual Handling Equipment experience (MHE).
• Basic computer skills.
• Full driving licence ESSENTIAL
